President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the pace of development in Ogun State following his visit to Iperu, describing the progress as deliberate and built for long-term impact.
“I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart,” the President said, highlighting the Gateway Cargo Airport as a clear example of what is possible when vision meets discipline.
According to him, the project reflects a people-focused investment strategy aimed at securing future prosperity. “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity,” he stated.
Tinubu also acknowledged Governor Dapo Abiodun for his consistency and focus, noting that true development is not about noise but about impactful decisions that improve lives.
He pointed to newly launched assets, including aircraft, electric bikes, tractors, and security equipment, as evidence of practical and visible progress. “Development must touch every level,” he added, expressing satisfaction with the direction of growth in the state.
The President further noted that the Renewed Hope reforms are yielding results by empowering states with more resources to deliver meaningful projects. He commended Ogun and other states for rising to the occasion.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment, Tinubu concluded, “We will stay the course. We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.”
Ending on a cultural note, he referenced a popular Yoruba saying: “Ìṣẹ́ yá…” before adding, “Ìṣẹ̀ ń lọ.” The work continues.
